Here’s what people are saying about Earth Jam 2008:

“I didn't know what to expect when my daughter told me about the Aveda Earth Day Fashion Show. I knew the students were going to be doing a lot of the hair and make-up, as well as modeling.

I was totally amazed. These students did a great job. The way the models walked down the cat walk and presented their own styles from hair, hair color, make-up, to clothing made to whole night "FUN". It truly made me proud that my daughter was a part of it all.
The whole night was for lack of a better word....."FUN", you never knew what was going to walk on stage next. It was great!
Great Job to everyone involved.

No matter how small the job from walking the cat walk to taking out the trash behind the stage, no job was too small to make the whole night a success!”

“I just wanted to let you know what an incredible job everyone did last night. I really enjoyed it. The students are learning so much and doing such a terrific job. It was very rewarding to see feet to our investment!

It seems like the fundraising efforts are really paying off.

Thank you for your part in making this a very special event for our daughter.”

With a focus on drinking water for 2008, the Aveda Institute Chapel Hill will help protect the drinking water of six local counties. During the month of April, the Aveda Institute hopes to raise $35,000 in donations to benefit its Earth Month partner, Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC). TLC and its Upper Neuse Clean Water Initiative is a partnership working to identify and protect land critical to the long-term quality of drinking water supplies for more than 500,000 Triangle residents. Over the next 25 years, the Upper Neuse River Basin population is projected to increase by 50 percent, and an estimated 50,000 acres will likely be developed
